Zwolle honours one of its most renowned artistic families: the Ter Borchs. In a unique collaboration, three local museums bring their story to life, each in their own way.
Museum de Fundatie presents At Home with Ter Borch, a major retrospective featuring over 70 works on paper and 35 paintings by Gerard, Gesina, and other members of the family. The works are on loan from leading Dutch and international collections.
ANNO Stadsmuseum Zwolle explores family dynamics in All About Family, an interactive exhibition inspired by the Ter Borch household. Playful and personal, it invites visitors to reflect on their own family stories.
Academiehuis Grote Kerk focuses on Gesina ter Borch in Gesina & Being Seen. In this monumental setting, her life and legacy are brought to light, with special attention to the role of women in art—then and now.
